How to start
Look at Muno's leaf and compare the available pieces with the spaces. Match the outlines and cut edges to rebuild the whole leaf, then check.
What your child practices
Seeing how parts compose a whole and checking their fit by shape and position. A number of pieces alone does not prove that the parts are equal.
Make it easier or try a challenge
A gentler start
Begin with a two-piece leaf. Compare one cut edge and the outside curve before placing a piece.
A little more thinking
Predict which pieces will complete the leaf before placing them. Off-screen, compare two different cuts of the same whole and check whether their parts are actually equal.
These are ways to support or extend play together. Your child can point, act, or explain; saying the answer aloud is optional.
Little hints & worksheet answers
Which cut edges could meet? Does the outside curve continue across the join?
For a worksheet, match its picture and age before opening a hint or answer.

Draw two paper leaves. A grown-up cuts one into two pieces and the other into three. Mix each leaf's pieces and rebuild it, checking the joins rather than naming every piece a half or third.
