How to start
Follow the trail and tap each pawprint in order. Later, choose only cat prints among other tracks, follow the trail to Vela, and match prints with their owner.
What your child practices
One-to-one counting, tracking a sequence around bends, and sorting by visual features.
Make it easier or try a challenge
A gentler start
Use the first short trail. Point to the start and say one number for each whole pawprint.
A little more thinking
Before tapping a mixed trail, show which feature distinguishes the cat prints. Explain or point out why a nearby dog print does not belong.
These are ways to support or extend play together. Your child can point, act, or explain; saying the answer aloud is optional.
Little hints & worksheet answers
