How to start
Find a glowing gap in Hano's fence. Choose a panel pointing in the same direction and place it in the gap. Fill the gaps, then check that the fence forms a closed loop.
What your child practices
Matching direction, connecting endpoints, and recognizing an open or closed boundary.
Make it easier or try a challenge
A gentler start
Begin with one gap. Trace the neighboring fence pieces and compare the direction of the missing part.
A little more thinking
Before placing a panel, show where both ends must meet. After filling several gaps, trace the entire boundary to explain why it is closed.
These are ways to support or extend play together. Your child can point, act, or explain; saying the answer aloud is optional.
Little hints & worksheet answers
Does this gap go across, up, or at a slant? Will both ends of your panel meet the fence?
For a worksheet, match its picture and age before opening a hint or answer.

Make a fence with craft sticks and leave one gap. Turn a spare stick to close it. Trace the whole loop, then let your child leave a new gap for you.
